I tried checking the news everyday for a month while housesitting a property where my primary responsibility was checking on a pool. The project was conceived of while visiting another housesitter who would check the news while sitting by the pool. We started a collection of headlines and photographs of pools.

The headlines and pool photographs were combined into six books containing tracking devices. Three books were given to libraries, three books were given to cultural workers.

In contrast to the online articles collected to make the books, which use tracking methods to refine and deliver more material, the agreement was to do nothing with what we learned about the circulation of our project. Our hope was the repetitive nature of our content would prompt our audience to engage with something else.

Durante un mes, intenté revisar las noticias todos los días mientras cuidaba una propiedad cuya principal responsabilidad era ver cómo está una piscina. El proyecto surgió durante una visita a otro cuidador de casa que revisaba las noticias sentado junto a la piscina. Empezamos a recopilar unos titulares y fotografías de piscinas.

Los titulares y las fotografías de piscinas fueron combinados en seis libros que contenían dispositivos de rastreo. Tres libros fueron entregados a bibliotecas, tres libros fueron entregados a trabajadores culturales.

A diferencia de los artículos en línea agregados para hacer los libros, que utilizan métodos de rastreo para refinar y distribuir más material, el acuerdo fue no hacer nada con lo que aprendimos sobre la circulación de nuestro proyecto.
